What’s it like to race around the world ?
Gipsy Moth IV has come to The Hague, to the Scheveningen Yacht Club to see the arrival of the yachts sailing in the Ocean Race. This final stop before the finish in Genoa is an important one as the crews prepare for the last leg of this edition of the race and the challenge to win the line honours.
Spectators are invited to coem and see Gipsy Moth IV and see where ocean racing started and to compare the fantastic technological developments that have made these sailing vessels into literally flying machines.
What has not changed is the sea and the perilous challenges of mother nature that the sailors and their boats are pitting themselves against.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE GREAT CAPTAINS, CREW AND VESSELS THAT WILL SET SAIL FROM THE HAGUE !
